Legall and Garcia of Men’s Tennis Climb Into National Rankings

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The top doubles pairing for the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team, Jason Legall and Ignacio Garcia, have been vaulted into the national Oracle/ITA doubles rankings for the first time, slotting in at No. 69.

The duo becomes the first Owls in over a year to hold a national ranking, following in the footsteps of Remi Chancerel and Gabriel Sidney (in late February of 2018). Legall and Garcia have paired at No. 1 this season for all but two dual match contests. The sophomores have posted a 13-6 doubles record together, including wins in each of their last four outings (and seven of their last eight). The Owls as a whole are 14-7 and on a six-match winning streak. They are preparing for one more home match on the season slate, Senior Day, on Friday, March 29. FAU will host Brown that day at 2 p.m. and will honor both Sidney and Mehdi Laalej. Admission to the FAU Tennis Complex is free.
