BOCA RATON, Fla. - (March 14, 2019) – The Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team will return to the courts on Friday, March 15. It will be the first action for the Sandy Owls since hosting the Burrow Beach Bash on March 1 and 2.
FAU will play no. 8 FIU at 10 a.m. and no. 2 USC at noon.

The Owls defeated no. 10 South Carolina 4-1 and UAB 5-0 and lost no. 4 LSU 3-2 and no. 5 Florida State 4-1

SERIES HISTORY

The Owls are 0-9 all-time against FIU and have lost their only previous meeting to USC
FIU won last year's matchup 3-2
The Women of Troy defeated FAU 5-0 on April 2, 2016.

SCOUTING THE FIELD

The no. 8 Panthers (5-4) started the season 5-0 before losing all four of their matches at the East Meets West Invitational in Huntington Beach, California.
FIU played four nationally-ranked teams over the course of the weekend, including a 3-2 loss to USC.
The second-ranked Women of Troy (11-2) split its two matches in Atlanta on Tuesday, losing to no. 10 South Carolina 3-2 before rebounding to defeat no. 18 Georgia State 4-1.

FAU will travel to DeLand to take part in the Stetson Invitational on Tuesday, March 19.
