CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Florida Atlantic University softball team (8-8) could not get its two games in on Friday at the Carolina Classic due to heavy rain showers. FAU's game against Maryland made it to the top of the fifth inning, but after the rain started to pour and the fielding conditions became dangerous, the game was called. As of now, the game against the Terrapins will not resume and is marked as cancelled. The Owls' game against UNCG that was originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Friday was cancelled earlier in the day due to the weather conditions.
