BOCA RATON, Fla. – Five players from the 2026 Florida Atlantic softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, announced by the CSC on Wednesday afternoon.
Autumn Courtney, Bella Foran, Kylie Hammonds, Ainsley Lambert, and Chloe Yeatts have earned the prestigious honor that recognizes on-field performance and academic prowess. This marks the second consecutive year in which Lambert and Hammonds received the recognition, with the latter moving on to the Academic All-American ballot.
The senior Courtney served as the Owls' ace in the circle with 17 wins, a 2.69 ERA and 123 strikeouts on the way to being named to the All-American Conference First Team. She was recognized by the University as the Female Student-Athlete of the Year with a 3.51 cumulative GPA.
Foran, a sophomore outfielder from Hoover, Alabama, tallied her second consecutive NFCA All-Region honor after recording 40 hits and 40 runs on a .342 batting average. The Exercise Science and Health Promotion major holds a 3.78 GPA.
Hammonds, a redshirt junior outfielder, is on the Academic All-District list in back-to-back years after leading the Owls with 60 hits, 51 runs, and a team-leading nine homers in 2026. She earned her second straight All-Conference first team nod while academically earning a spot on the Spring's Dean's List with a 3.866 GPA. Hammonds is set to graduate at the end of the summer and currently holds a 3.51 GPA.
Lambert is another returning FAU representative to the All-Academic District team. Entering the year as the Owls' record holder in saves, she added six to bring her career total to 28, most among Division I pitchers. Lambert achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA while seeking her certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership.
Serving as the team's catcher, Yeatts finished her senior season with 35 RBI, second on the team. She drove in 89 runs and homered 14 times over her two years with Florida Atlantic and earned an All-Conference First Team honor in '25. The Ardmore, Oklahoma native holds a 3.59 GPA.
