BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (5-21, 2-11 C-USA) will take on rival FIU (4-22, 1-12 C-USA) on Saturday afternoon in Miami. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE OWLS
- FAU will be looking to skid a two-game losing streak on Saturday at rival FIU
- Saturday's game will continue a four-game road swing for the Owls that started last week in Texas and will continue next week at Middle Tennessee
- FAU only has three opponents left on the schedule this season, all three the Owls have already faced this season
- Through 26 games, Juliette Gauthier is leading the Owls in scoring with 10.9 points per game. Myka Johnson Matthews is close behind, averaging 9.5 points. Abby Voss leads on the rebounding front, pulling down 5.8 boards per game. Glenisha Harkless has 49 assists on the season to lead the team
- The Owls took on North Texas and Rice on the road last weekend and came up short in both matchups
- Amber Gaston led the Owls against North Texas with a career-high 21 points. Jamaria Williams (10) and Myka Johnson Matthews (11) joined Gaston in double figures against the Mean Green
- Juliette Gauthier was the leading scorer at Rice with 23 points
- The Panthers have lost three-straight games after topping UTSA two weeks ago
- in Miami
- Chelsea Guimaraes and Paula Orenes lead the Panthers, averaging 9.3 points
- per game
- Ce'Nara Skanes is the Panthers top rebounder, pulling down 7.5 boards per game
- Saturday will be the 45th meeting between FAU and FIU. The Panthers are FAU's longest standing opponent, having started the series in 1985. The two programs have played every season since 2006
- FIU leads the series 31-13, but the Owls have won six of the last nine matchups
- The Owls have only won four games in Miami in the series history
