BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will start Conference USA Bonus Play with a third matchup with rival FIU on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m.

ABOUT THE OWLS

FAU enters Bonus Play as the no. 8 seed, winners of three of its last four and having already clinched a spot in the C-USA Tournament
A win would give Head Coach Dusty May sole possession of first place for most wins by a first year head coach since FAU moved to the Division I level
A victory also guarantees FAU its first winning season since 2010-11

The Owls (16-11, 7-7 C-USA) held an opponent to less than 50 points for the third time in four games, beating Rice 60-41. The 41 points tied for the second fewest points allowed by FAU since moving to Division I.
FAU also kept Rice to a 26.7 field goal percentage, the lowest of any opponent this season
Xavian Stapleton (14) and Karlis Silins (10) both came off the bench to score double-figures for the Owls
