BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 2026-27 Florida Atlantic men's basketball team is in the midst of its preseason practice grind, with the season opener less than six weeks away.
Week 1 of practice is underway, with Paradise Madness on Oct. 7 serving as the first opportunity for fans to see the newest version of the Owls. The 2026-27 regular season home opener versus LIU will take place on Nov. 2 on Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
"I am extremely excited about the 2026-27 team," said Head Coach John Jakus. "We were able to attract talented players that fit our brand and style of play, and have tremendous depth in both our backcourt and with our bigs. We have brought in players with a vast amount of collegiate games under their belt, and combined them with young players that have not only unlimited potential, but also international experience as well. This team has all the ability to help us to reach our goals while being a joy to watch in The Elly."
Leading up to the start of practice for the team, @FAUMBB filmed a series of videos entitled "Behind the Jersey." These get-to-know clips were hosted by Director of Player Development Eric McClellan with all 15 members of the '26-'27 squad.
