BOCA RATON, Fla. – After 10 matches away from home to start the spring, the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team finally returns to the friendly confines of the FAU Tennis Complex. The Owls will have three home matches this weekend, hosting DePaul, Tennessee Tech and Stetson.
Owl Review
For the second straight weekend, the Owls earned a split against some tough competition, each by the slimmest of margins. They edged out Florida Gulf Coast 4-3 Saturday, but fell to USF by that same score on Sunday.
Mehdi Laalej was the only singles player to come out of the weekend unscathed, winning both his matches in straight sets.
Jason Legall picked up a three-set singles victory at No. 1 on Saturday to clinch the win over FGCU, and combined with
Ignacio Garcia the next day for a No. 1 doubles win against USF.
