Final Women's Results
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the 2019 season at the NCAA Cross Country South Regionals. On the women's side, the team finished in 25th and the men came in 23rd. The championships, hosted by Florida State, welcomed 200 runners representing 27 schools on the women's side and 168 individuals from 24 different schools for the men.
Â
"We had a strong meet," said head coach Alex Smolka. "It's exciting how the guys stepped up and attacked the 10K distance today! Anytime we can have three people break into the top 10 in school history, it's a good day!"
On the Women:
"We did not have our best day! On the positive side, Mikaela [Jonsson] and Lauren [Macon] improved their regional times from last year. As a team, we did not finish how we would have liked, however, the experience will only make us stronger for the future! Six of our seven runners will return for our next cross country season, and today's results will motivate them for the future!"

The Owls' cross country season has come to a close and indoor track & field season now looms around the corner to commence in the beginning of January. For complete coverage of FAU cross country and track & field, follow along on Twitter (@FAU_XC_Track), Instagram (@FAUXC.TF) and Facebook.
