Basketball Teams to Take Part in Media Days

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University men's basketball head coach Dusty May and women's basketball head coach Jim Jabir will take part in Conference USA's (C-USA) 2019 Media Tipoff on Monday, Oct. 21 in Frisco, Texas before returning home for FAU's on-campus Basketball Media Day on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

In his first season as head coach of the FAU men's team, Coach May led the Owls to their first winning season since 2010-11 and made just the third postseason appearance in school history, taking part in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT).

Coach Jabir guided the 2018-19 squad to a 5-25 record and will return six players from last year's squad. The Owls welcome a highly regarded recruiting class comprised of eight players, who bring a blend of previous college experience as well as international play.

The coaches will preview the upcoming season and offer an inside look at their respective programs. ESPN+ and the WatchESPN app will present live video streaming of Monday's interview. Both coaches will go at 12:24 p.m. Eastern. Fans can watch the interviews here. Tuesday morning, both coaches and selected players from each squad will meet with members of the media in the Tom Oxley Athletic Center, room 117A, at 10:30 a.m.
