– The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams will race outside of Florida for the first time this season at the Blazer Classic hosted by UAB. This marks the last race of the season before Conference USA Championships.

The course is located behind the Alabama Traffic Safety Center and Track & Field Complex with parking being available for fans as well. At 9 a.m., the women will hit the course first in the 6K, while the men will follow with the 8K at 9:45 a.m. Results will be available during the race at xpresstiming.com.

The men's and women's teams rounded out the month of September at the UCF Invitational. On the women's side, the Owls finished fourth, as all seven runners finished within the top 22.
Megan Giovanniello was the top finisher for the Owls in the 6K race, crossing the finish line at 14th (23:37.30) and was named C-USA Athlete of the Week.

For the men,
Lachlan Shiver claimed his second individual title of the season, third on his career, while breaking a school record in the 8K with a time of 25:05.50. The men finished second overall, as each of the six competitors (Shiver,
Preston Dunn,
Sean Barone,
Jericho Cooey,
Rory Carmody and
Djery Clement) set new personal records. Shiver also helped the Owls take the sweep for conference Athlete of the Week awards, as he captured the honor on the men's side.
