Women's Basketball Travels to Old Dominion

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (3-12, 0-2 C-USA) will continue Conference USA play on Thursday night against Old Dominion (9-5, 0-2 C-USA) in Norfolk, Virginia.

Through 15 games, Juliette Gauthier is the leading Owl scorer with 10.6 points per game. Myka Johnson Matthews is close behind, averaging 9.5 points. The Owls opened Conference USA play on Thursday against preseason favorite and 2018 regular season champion UAB followed by Middle Tennessee on Saturday
The Blazers jumped out to an early lead, but FAU cut it to 11 before halftime. The second half was all UAB as the Blazers left Boca with a 89-64 win
Against the Blazers, Gauthier led the Owls with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 4-of-6 from three. She was one rebound shy of a double-double, pulling down nine rebounds
Middle Tennessee jumped on the Owls early, holding FAU to just three points in the first quarter, a season low
Johnson Matthews led FAU with 23 points against the Blue Raiders. She made all of her shots from within the 3-point line and was 3-of-4 from range
