BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (3-12, 0-2 C-USA) will continue Conference USA play on Thursday night against Old Dominion (9-5, 0-2 C-USA) in Norfolk, Virginia.

- The Owls opened Conference USA play on Thursday against preseason favorite and 2018 regular season champion UAB followed by Middle Tennessee on Saturday
- The Blazers jumped out to an early lead, but FAU cut it to 11 before halftime. The second half was all UAB as the Blazers left Boca with a 89-64 win
- Against the Blazers, Gauthier led the Owls with a career-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 4-of-6 from three. She was one rebound shy of a double-double, pulling down nine rebounds
- Middle Tennessee jumped on the Owls early, holding FAU to just three points in the first quarter, a season low
- Johnson Matthews led FAU with 23 points against the Blue Raiders. She made all of her shots from within the 3-point line and was 3-of-4 from range

- Thursday's meeting will be the sixth all-time between FAU and Old Dominion
- The Monarchs have won all five previous matchups

- The Monarchs own Conference USA's highest RPI mark, standing at 55th in the country
- After running through non-conference play with a 9-3 record, ODU dropped its first two games in league play to Marshall and WKU
