Emily Lochten Joins the National Softball Association

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Former Florida Atlantic University shortstop Emily Lochten will play in the American Softball Association (ASBA), a new professional softball league set to begin this summer.
Lochten played an integral part on the Owls softball team, leading them to a 30-26 record and the Conference USA regular season title this year. The Lake Worth, Florida native led the Owls in numerous offensive categories this past season, including home runs (14) and runs scored (59), a program single-season record. She is already the program's all-time leader in career stolen bases (130). At the conclusion of the season, Lochten was named the to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Region first team and All-Conference USA first team.

The ASBA draft will be held on June, 6 with the season starting on June 15.
