Bowe Finishes Fifth in 1500m Event

Feb. 12, 2018 PYEONGCHANG, South Korea - Florida Atlantic University alumna Brittany Bowe opened her Olympic speedskating program with a fifth-place finish in the 1500m contest.

Bowe finished the race with a time of 1:55.54, a little over one second behind the gold-medal winner, Netherlands' Ireen Wust, who crossed the finish line in 1:54.35.

Bowe continues her Olympic quest on Wednesday in the 1000m event, which will take place at 5 a.m. Then on Sunday, Bowe will compete in the 500m event at 6 a.m.
