BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (3-5) will hit the road for its third straight road game on Wednesday night at Furman (5-4). Both teams will be looking to start winning streaks after winning their most recent matchups. Â

ABOUT THE GAME
- FAU resumes play on Wednesday night in Greenville, South Carolina after a 10-day hiatus due to finals
- It will the final game of a three-game road stretch in FAU's schedule
- The Owls will be looking to start a winning streak after topping Siena, 70-66, in Albany on Dec. 1
- Through eight games, Myka Johnson Matthews is leading the Owls, scoring 10.3 points per game. Abby Voss leads FAU in the rebounding department, bringing down 9.4 boards per game. Danneal Ford is averaging five assists per game as the team's leading assist earner
LAST TIME OUT
- The Owls picked up their first road win of the season against Siena to kick off December. More impressively, FAU won after spending a total of six days on the road, traveling from New Orleans to Albany
- Juliette Gauthier was the Owls' leading scorer with 18 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep. She also had four rebounds and two steals
- Glenisha Harkless and Ra'Kyra Gabriel each added 11 points to join Gauthier in double figures. Harkless was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Gabriel pulled down five rebounds and had three blocks
- Voss had double-digit rebounds for the third time this season with 11 boards
- FAU had season highs in field goal percentage, points and tied the high in 3-pointers made. The Owls also held themselves to only 17 turnovers, a new season low
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday's game will be only the second meeting between the two teams
- The first and only matchup came in November of 1999. The Paladins got the better of the Owls, 87-70, in Boca RatonÂ
SCOUTING FURMAN
- The Paladins won their last game, securing a 70-57 victory against Gardner-Webb on Dec. 8, and have won three of four
- Le'Jzae Davidson leads Furman scoring 17.0 points per game
- The Paladins have two players averaging over five rebounds a game in Tierra Hodges and Kaitlyn DuncanÂ
