BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (2-4) will go on the road for three straight games, starting Wednesday at Tulane. The Owls and the Green Wave will meet for only the second time in program history at 8 p.m. (EST) at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse in New Orleans, Louisiana. Â

ABOUT THE GAME
- FAU will hit the road for the next three games. The Owls will take on Tulane in New Orleans on Wednesday and then will travel directly to New York to play Siena on Saturday
- The Owls will be looking to bounce back from a loss to Bradley in the final of the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament
- On paper, the game looks to be a low-scoring affair with both teams averaging less than 65 points per game
- Myka Johnson Matthews leads the Owls in scoring at 12.0 points per game. Abby Voss is averaging 9.3 rebounds per game. Jayla Adams is leading the team in assists with 18 total
LAST TIME OUT
- The Owls went 1-1 in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament with a win against Lafayette and a loss against Bradley in the championship game
- Johnson Matthews became the first FAU player this season to score 20 points or more with 25 against Lafayette
- Amber Gaston had an impressive tournament, averaging 11.5 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, 1.5 steals and one assist through the two games
SERIES HISTORY
- FAU and Tulane have only met one other time in program history
- The Owls hosted Tulane during the 2013-14 season, the only year the two teams paths crossed as Conference USA schools before Tulane left for the American Athletic Conference
- The Green Wave claimed the win in that meeting, 74-62 Â
SCOUTING TULANE
- The Green Wave will play its first home game in 10 days and will be hosting three straight games
- Tulane's only loss this season came against then-ranked No. 18 California in San Diego
- Krystal Freeman leads the Green Wave averaging 14.4 points per game. Sierra Cheatham is second, scoring 12.0 points per game
- Freeman also leads on the rebounding front, bringing down 6.4 boards per game
