HUNTINGTON, W.V. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team will conclude the season at Marshall on Saturday night. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Hoops Family Field.
CATCHING UP WITH THE OWLS
Redshirt-junior goalkeeper
Hagay Jalon has played every match in-goal for the Owls this season. His 72 total saves lead Conference USA and his 5.14 saves per game average is second in the league. The Haifa, Israel native has registered two clean sheets this season which is the sixth most in the league.
The Owls are led on offense by
Gonzalo Pena Barrasus and
Jean Paul Rafols who each have seven points on the season with three goals and one assist.
Alonso Coello Camarero has the second most points with six on one goal and four assists. His four assists is tied for the fifth most in C-USA.
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Marshall (6-8-3, 2-3-2 C-USA) will be hosting the Owls for Senior Day on Saturday. The Thundering Herd most recently picked up a double overtime win against South Carolina earlier this week.
Marshall is led by Gianni Bouzoukis with five goals this season. Jonas Westmeyer has three goals and four assists. Keeper Paulo Pita has played in 14 games this season. He's allowing 1.28 goals per game and has a 75.3 save percentage.
