Men's Soccer Concludes Season with Loss at Marshall

HUNTINGTON, W.V. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (2-12, 1-6 C-USA) ended the regular season at Marshall on Saturday night, suffering a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Thundering Herd.

HOW IT WAS DECIDED
- FAU got on the board first just one minute into the match when Marshall's goalkeeper missed on a punt sent back to him by a Thundering Herd defender. The ball rolled past him and into the net.
- That lead didn't hold long. Marshall equalized five minutes later. Gianni Bouzoukis put the Herd ahead in the 29th minute and Marshall would stay ahead for the rest of the match.
GAME NOTES
- Alonso Coello Camarero and Arturo Ernand each notched two shots in the game, leading the way offensively for the Owls.
- Goalkeeper Hagay Jalon made four saves on the night, several point blank attempts from the Marshall offense.
- Twelve FAU freshmen saw action in the match, earning valuable experience for next season.
