SAN ANTONIO – With late goals in both regulation and overtime, each by Kaila Armstrong, the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team netted Head Coach Patrick Baker his 300th career victory in a stirring 2-1 comeback road victory over UTSA, moving the Owls to 5-0 in Conference USA play.
 Turning Point:
The Roadrunners (4-6-1, 0-3-1 C-USA) got into the scoring column first, successfully converting a corner with a header in the 12th minute. Things stayed in favor of UTSA until the bitter end of regulation, when a late flurry of offense by the Owls (8-6-0, 5-0-0 C-USA) culminated in a corner with under a minute left. Sammy Vitols sent it in, and Armstrong got just enough of it to sneak it past the goal line to tie things with just 30 seconds left.
 The Finish:
The Owls had a golden opportunity midway into the first overtime, but UTSA's goalkeeper saved an Ebba Blomqvist penalty kick attempt 4:23 in. Then, with under a minute left, FAU played it around the top of the box, and Armstrong did it again, drilling it in off of the left post to complete the unlikely come-from-behind win. Her golden goal came at 99:25, just before what would have been the start of the second extra period, extending FAU's winning streak to six matches.
 Notables:
Armstrong notched her first, and ultimately second, goal as an Owl. For Vitols, it was her first assist of her two-year college career, and Mary O'Hara was credited with the assist on the game-winner, her third this year
Baker's 300th win includes now 55 with FAU
The first half goal by UTSA snapped more than four matches' worth of scoreless FAU defense (413:46 to be exact). It also marked the first time the Owls had trailed since Sept. 9
Quotable:
"What a great night for us, as far as a result standpoint," said Head Coach Patrick Baker. "Scoring inside of 30 seconds to go to equalize … (then) we were fortunate enough to get the wind in again in the first overtime after having it in the second half, and Kaila (Armstrong) scored an absolute peach from probably 25 yards out for the game-winner."
