Three FAU Softball Players Named All-Conference

BOCA RATON, Fla. â€" Three Florida Atlantic University softball players earned all-conference honors, announced by the Conference USA office today in advance of the C-USA Softball Championship, which begins Wednesday, May 10 at Southern Miss.
Junior shortstop Emily Lochten was named to the First Team for the second year in a row. Lochten started 53 games for the Owls at shortstop, hitting a team-best .421 with 58 runs scored, 11 doubles, 18 home runs and 41 RBI. Her .862 slugging percentage and .552 on-base percentage also bested the Owls. Lochten is second on the team with 36 stolen bases and is already FAU's all-time leader in career stolen bases with 92.
Amanda Wilson was named C-USA Second Team as a pitcher. The senior from Minooka, Illinois, recorded a 15-10 record with five shutouts and a 1.96 ERA. She led the team in innings pitched (171.0) and strikeouts (66). It's the third time in her career Wilson has earned all-conference recognition.
Joining Wilson on the second team is her classmate Delaney Rickey. Rickey finished the regular season with a .298 batting average in conference play. She was second on the team with 31 RBI and stole nine bases on the year.
The Owls are the No. 4 seed for the Conference USA Championship and will play their first game at 6 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday against either UAB or WKU.
