Men 's Basketball Hosts Ave Maria, Bethune-Cookman

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will host Ave Maria and Bethune-Cookman in a pair of games this week.
Last Week: FAU (2-3) played at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida last week. The Owls lost to Towson 76-52 on Monday, defeated NIU 77-67 on Tuesday and fell 71-60 to Missouri State on Wednesday. Gerdarius Troutman led the Owls in scoring, averaging 12.0 points and shooting nearly 53 percent from behind the three-point arc. Ronald Delph had one of his best weeks at the tournament, posting averages of 11.7 points and 10 rebounds per contest.
History: The Owls have won all three meetings with the Gyrenes (1-6), with the teams having played in three of the last four seasons. FAU and Bethune-Cookman split their only two previous encounters, the most recent one coming on Nov. 24, 1999.
