Florida Atlantic Sport Talk Resumes on Monday

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Men's and women's basketball will be the focus of Florida Atlantic Sports Talk, 6-7 p.m. Monday night.
The weekly show makes its 2017 debut and will once again be hosted by ESPN West Palm 106.3's Ken LaVicka. This week's show will originate from the West Palm studio and will feature Head Women's Basketball Coach Kellie Lewis-Jay. Coach Lewis-Jay and LaVicka will be joined by a women's basketball player, who is part of a team that posted the department's highest women's team GPA, as announced last Friday. The women's basketball team will host UTSA this Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in the FAU Arena.
On the men's side, LaVicka and Head Coach Michael Curry will be joined by redshirt sophomore Justin Massey. The men's team posted above a 3.0 GPA for the first time in program history and took a 73-64 victory over in-state and Conference USA rival FIU last Saturday. The Owls will next travel to UTSA for an 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 matchup.
The track and field team will open 2017 Saturday competing in Birmingham at a meet that will feature C-USA members versus the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) members.
Women's tennis will open play on the new on-campus courts on Friday, Jan. 13 when the Owls play host to Miami (Ohio) at 10 a.m. Men's tennis will open their season on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Florida State.
