Baseball's Brett Lashley Named Academic All-Conference USA

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University senior outfielder Brett Lashley has been named to the Conference USA All-Academic team for the second consecutive season, the league office announced Monday.

Lashley is the only repeat winner from 2015, boasting a 3.70 grade point average with a communication studies major. The Lake Worth, Fla., native is batting .281 with 36 runs and 26 RBI over his 50 games this season. Lashley leads C-USA in hit by pitches at 14, aiding him to a .382 on-base percentage while he ranks among the team leaders in sacrifices. Lashley has stolen five bases and hit 11 doubles with a .990 fielding percentage.
