FAU Softball Ranked in Both National Polls

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University has ended its regular season ranked No. 22 in both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and USA Softball polls, which were released on Tuesday.

The Owls, who are on a school record 18 game winning streak, hold a 44-7 overall record and went 22-2 in C-USA play.

Junior pitcher Kylee Hanson was named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week for the seventh time this season for her performance last week, while Melissa Martinez was named Player of the Week for the second consecutive time. Freshman Madisyn Palmer leads the Owls with a .450 batting average, while Emily Lochten has hit a team-best 13 homeruns.
