Track and Field open 2016 Outdoor Season

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic women's track and field team open the outdoor season Friday, March 18 and 19th at the 2016 Hurricane Invitational, which is hosted by the University of Miami. The first day consists of the field events and the 5000m run.

Teams Competing-There are 15 colleges and universities competing including Florida Atlantic, Boston University, Nova Southeastern, FIU, Miami and Virginia Tech to name a few.

Events-In the field, in the Javelin Throw Crystal McDougle, Mar'Rhea Everheart and Frida Thorsås will be competing. Ashley Stewart will be competing in the high hump.

On the distance side (5000m run), seniors Kia Heller-Spencer, Clare Brinkman and Kimmy Jones will be the veterans along with teammates, Christina Schultz, Bethany Hardcastle, Jasmine Van Tine, Cary Fontanez. Freshmen Molly Bryan, Emily Latimer, Sophia Clark, Christina Humphries, Grace Mendes, Kelsey Meltzer, and Gabriella Ciracio will gain experience by competing.
