Tournament Results
The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team hosted a dual meet and completed against Towson University, on Tuesday. The 18-hole match up was held on the Brown and Blue course at the Delaire Country Club in Delray Beach, Fla. The par 72, 6,696 yard course favored the Owls as they won the match up 286 to 295.
Senior Michael Perez led the way for the Owls as he shot a five-under 67, tying his tournament low this season. Next in for FAU was Jackson Shoenfelt shooting a three-under 69, setting his new record low in a round.
Senior Derron Peyton finished third for FAU, shooting a one-over 73 after 18-holes. Finishing the day shooting a five-over 77 was junior Caleb Sibley. The final two competitors for the Owls were Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla and Yuki Fujii. Parrilla ended up shooting a five-over 77 on the day, and Yuki finished with a 12-over 84.
The two individual competitors for FAU were Brian Dolehide and Carson Klawonn. Dolehide played in his second round of the year and shot an even par 72 on the day. Freshman Klawonn made his first tournament appearance of the year, shooting a three-over 75.
The Owls next tournament is on March 25th, as the Owls will host and compete in the 2016 FAU Slomin Autism Championship at the Fountains CC in Lake Worth, Fla.
