The No. 16 Florida Atlantic University baseball team welcomes Rutgers to town for a three-game series on the final non-conference weekend of the year. FAU is ranked 16th in the nation by Collegiate Baseball and 21st in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Owls rank fifth in the nation in shutouts, seventh in win-loss percentage, 11th in double plays and 13th in team ERA.
FAU has recorded 129 hits in just 12 games this season with a team batting average of .321. The Owls have belted 28 doubles, five triples and eight home runs, out-scoring opponents 91-35. FAU has also drawn 55 walks for a team on-base percentage of .418. Three starters are hitting better than 400 with at least 45 plate appearances each.
