BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team concluded action in the FAU Kick-Off Classic with a 4-2 win over Penn State on Sunday. The contest was stopped after six innings due to Penn State's travel plans. The win gives the Owls their first 5-0 start since the 2002 season.

Notables
• Amanda Wilson pitched four innings in the circle for her second win of the season.

• Kylee Hanson tossed two innings of no-hit relief for her second save of the year. Hanson is now tied with Jen Musillo for fourth all-time in school history with four career saves.

• Melissa Martinez went 2-for-3 and scored a run.

• Madisyn Palmer had two hits and two runs scored on the day.

Game Changer
The game was tied at two in the bottom of the fourth inning when Lauren Whitt drove in Melissa Martinez with a base hit to right, giving FAU the lead for good.

On Kylee Hanson - "She pitched well all weekend. Both her and Amanda have been super in practice. Last year, in the second game (of back-to-back days), Kylee wasn't as effective, but her second day out this year, she threw a no-hitter. She's going to be a horse for us this year."
