Oct. 28, 2016 Fort Pierce, Fla. -
Florida Atlantic University swimming and diving showed a lot of heart in their dual meet against Indian River State College on Friday, Oct. 28, as the women fell just short with a final score of 122-115 and the men lost to the Pioneers 149-92.
Despite the loss, the Owls picked up eight wins combined including two from freshman Sharon Kok, two from junior John Brennock and a victory from diver and team captain Ryan McIntire.
Coach's Quote
"I loved every second of today's meet," said Head Swimming and Diving Coach Lara Preacco. "What I saw from the team today is what we have been looking for since August. We have truly come together as one. We have been working to build a positive culture and that positivity has shown through today and all week. The atmosphere was electric coming down to that last relay. I'm proud to coach this team, and I'm proud of the way they fought for every single point today."
