Owls to Finish Regular Season at Southern Miss

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University softball team will travel to Southern Miss for its final three games of the regular season. FAU has already qualified for the upcoming Conference USA Tournament, but its seeding is still to be determined.
The Owls (32-16-1, 13-7 C-USA) are currently the no. 4 seed for the C-USA tournament, which will be held at FIU on May 7-9. While the team is still mathematically alive for the no. 1 seed, it is possible for them to finish as low as no. 6. FAU won their series versus UTSA over the weekend, sweeping Saturday's doubleheader before losing the finale on Sunday. Prior to Sunday's loss, the Owls had won six of their last seven games.
The Golden Eagles (18-31, 3-18) have lost 14 of their last 16, including being swept in a three-game series by UAB. The Owls won last season's series by taking the final two games after dropping the opener.
