BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The first opportunity for fans to see the 2015-16 Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will come during an exhibition game against St. Thomas University on Thursday, November 5, at 7 p.m. in the FAU Arena.
The exhibition will be the only one for the Owls before they begin the regular season at #13 Michigan State on Friday, November 13. FAU is in its second season under Head Coach Michael Curry.
Senior guard Jackson Trapp highlights the returners for FAU. Trapp led the Owls in minutes played and field goal percentage last season. Also returning are seniors Solomon Poole and Javier Lacunza, as well as Marquan Botley and C. J. Turman. Botley and Poole were the top two leading scorers from last season. Botley is currently the program's all-time leader in career assist to turnover ratio.
Clemson transfer Adonis Filer will be available to play after sitting out the 2014-15 season. Auburn transfer Ronald Delph is expected to join the team after the fall semester. Freshmen Jeantal Cylla, Nick Rutherford, Jesse Hill and Connor Shorten and JC transfer Matthew Reed are all expected to compete for playing time. Frank Booker will have to sit out the 2015-16 season after transferring from Oklahoma.
