Baseball Holds Annual Alumni Game Saturday Afternoon

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University baseball team will hold its annual Alumni Game on Saturday, Nov. 1. Festivities start at 1:30 p.m. followed by the first pitch at 3 at the FAU Baseball Stadium. Admission is free for all fans.<p>
"I look forward to this day each year and it is a great chance to see the guys who help lay the foundation of this great program," FAU Head Coach John McCormack said. "It is always a treat to watch these guys dust off the cleats and play." Alumni interested in playing in the game should contact McCormack via the Alumni Response Form, located at http://www.fausports.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/alumni-response-form.html.<p>
Coach McCormack will then send further instructions and an itinerary. <p>
The Owls return 20 players for 2015, including eight starting position players and four starting pitchers, from its 2014 squad. McCormack and his staff added 16 newcomers including a pair of All-Americans and a Division II National Player of the Year. <p>
FAU will hold its annual Halloween practice on Oct. 31. Fans are invited to come watch the Owls go through practice while wearing costumes. The Owls then take part in the FAU World Series Nov. 3-7. More details will be announced soon on FAUSports.com.
