Tulsa, Ok.- The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team recorded its second-consecutive scoreless draw on Sunday as it battled Tulsa to a 0-0 final in Conference USA play.
The Owls (2-6-3) withstood an offensive barrage in the first period as Tulsa (7-3-1) posted 11 shots in the half. Six of those shots came in a four-minute span late in the half, three of which were on goal.
FAU was outshot 21-4 on the day, handing Tulsa its first tie of the season. This marks the first season since 2009 that the Owls have played to three draws in one year.
Gabriella Sosa, Claire Emslie and Danelle Nguyen took shots on goal for the Owls, including a header in the second overtime by Sosa.
FAU returns home to host Middle Tennessee State and UTEP on Oct. 4 and 6, respectively.
