BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team (3-6) will travel to DePaul and Maryland this week. It will be the second time FAU has played both schools.
DePaul is (4-4) coming off a 78-56 loss to Arizona State, last Friday night. The Blue Demons defeated FAU 71-62 on Dec. 22, 2010. DePaul senior forward Cleveland Melvin scored 23 points and had four rebounds in that game. Pablo Bertone is the only current Owl who played in the Dec. 2010 game. He went scoreless in five minutes of play.
Maryland (6-4) will open ACC play on Wednesday at Boston College. FAU lost to the Terrapins 72-59 on Dec. 27, 2009 in the only previous meeting. It also marks a return to the Washington D.C. area for FAU head coach Mike Jarvis. Jarvis led George Washington to seven postseason appearances and still ranks second in school history for most wins.
