Boca Raton, FL -- The Florida Atlantic University baseball team was able to give back to the local community at the Boca Raton Little League last weekend during the organization's try-out period.
Members of the Owls helped the players through drills and provided instruction throughout the day. Head Coach John McCormack believes it is important for his team to participate in this good cause.
"Raton Little League is a wonderful organization and we are happy to partner with them in helping young baseball players learn to enjoy the game," said McCormack. "Our players really enjoy getting to know the kids and understand the positive impact it can have on there lives."
FAU has volunteered time at the Little League for several years.
The Owls are beginning fall conditioning and individual practice schedules in preparation for the 2012 season.
