I found Florida Atlantic through friends in high school. I also found a major that would allow me to help future football players and high school athletes -- exercise science. I discovered it at FAU and have continued to keep it as my focus. My sports interest definitely came from my dad, Chuck. We enjoyed all kinds of sports as a family, especially soccer and football. As a high school freshman I began learned the technique of long snapping from Justin Coward, the former starting long snapper at UCF. I spent the fall semester of 2009 with family and friends in my hometown of Lakeland. The time away also allowed me to give back to my high school, George Jenkins High School, where I helped coach. I enjoyed coaching and came away with a new appreciation for my major. I hope to apply the knowledge gained studying exercise science to help all athletes at the high school level upon graduation.
