TONIGHT'S GAME: FAU (10-11, 6-5) make their first and only trip this season to Denton to take on North Texas (6-16, 3-8). The Owls won their previous meeting against the Mean Green last season 70-69 at the Super Pit by making a furious comeback in the final minute. FAU trailed 69-67 with three seconds remaining when Breana Turner made a layup off an inbound play and got fouled. The then freshman sank the free-throw and the Mean Green missed a desperation half-court heave at the buzzer as FAU held onto the 70-69 victory.
ON THE AIR: All of FAU's Women's Basketball games this season can be heard live on the Owls' official athletics website, FAUSPORTS.com. Audio links are provided above and on the women's basketball home page. The pregame show can be heard 15 minutes prior to tip off. Jared Smith (play-by-play) will call the game.
LAST TIME OUT FOR FAU: The Owls erased a 17-point deficit but fell in overtime 77-75 to FIU on Saturday night in Boca Raton. Lyrell Barfield scored a team-high 19 points and Teri Stamps hit two pressure free-throws to tie the game with 12 seconds remaining. Michelle Gonzlaez scored all 10 of FIU's points in overtime to secure the victory.
LAST TIME OUT FOR NORTH TEXAS: The Mean Green are coming off their second straight blowout loss, falling 119-51 to Middle Tennessee on Saturday in Murfreesboro. North Texas struggled on the defensive end allowing MTSU to make 20-of-34 shots from behind the arc.
