TODAY'S GAME: FAU (13-11, 9-5) looks to extend their confererence road winning streak to four games on Wednesday night when they travel to Miami to take on FIU (13-13, 8-7). The Golden Panthers are on a streak of their own having won five straight games since the 77-75 overtime victory over FAU back on Jan. 30. The Owls erased a 17-point second half deficit in that contest but could not overcome Michelle Gonzalez scoring all 10 points in overtime for FIU. A victory tonight will give FAU 10 conference victories, the most ever since joining the Sun Belt four seasons ago.
ON THE AIR: All of FAU's Women's Basketball games this season can be heard live on the Owls' official athletics website, FAUSPORTS.com. Audio links are provided above and on the women's basketball home page. The pregame show can be heard 15 minutes prior to tip off. Jared Smith (play-by-play) will call the game.
LAST TIME OUT FOR FAU: The Owls overcame a sloppy 18-turnover performance in an 84-75 victory over Louisiana last Wednesday in Boca Raton. All five starters for FAU scored in double-figures including a career-high 21 points from Teri Stamps. FAU has been the beneficiary of a six-day layoff and did not have a game over the weekend.
LAST TIME OUT FOR FIU: The Golden Panthers won their fifth straight game in a grind-it-out 55-47 victory over Troy on the road on Saturday. The Golden Panthers held the Trojans to only 18 made field goals as Troy recorded only six assists compared to 13 turnovers. Michelle Gonzalez paced FIU with 16 points. The Golden Panthers have not lost since a 52-44 defeat at the hands of UALR back on Jan. 23.
