BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football returned to the practice field for the final two weeks of regular-season practice. As the season winds down the intensity of the games grows stronger. FAU and the two remaining teams on the 2010 schedule, Middle Tennessee and Troy, need wins to secure an opportunity for a bowl game.
Tuesday's practice was under a beautiful clear sky. It began with kick-off and kick coverage. FAU then moved into "indo" work followed by installing the run and the inside game.
Avery Holley had the catch and score during seven-on-seven before 50 minutes of team versus MTSU began on both the offensive and defensive fields. The day ended with point after attempts prior to Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger leaving for the weekly FAU SportsPage radio show, which was moved from Thursday to Tuesday, due to Thanksgiving. The FAU SportsPage show, which airs on ESPN760 AM and www.fausports.com, is hosted each week at Hooters. Following Tuesday's show fans are encouraged to stay and watch the FAU men's basketball team take on Florida.
The Owls will return to the practice field for a 3:30 p.m. Wednesday practice. All practices are free and open to the public.
