BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's football team began its preparation for Saturday's 4:30 p.m. match-up against Western Kentucky University.
The day began with punt work and then moved into individual work with each unit specializing on their skills. The Owls' offense then installed the run, something that could allow redshirt junior Alfred Morris to become the program's second all-time career rushing leader. Morris enters the game with 1,966 career yards. Sitting in the second spot is Doug Parker, the program's first running back, with 1981. The program's all-time career leader is Charles Pierre who tallied 3,096 from 2004-08.
The squad then moved into seven-on-seven followed by team drills and field goal. FAU will be back on the field 3:30 p.m., Wednesday. All practices are free and open to the public. Single game tickets are available by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls or at www.fausports.com.
