The Florida Atlantic University football team continued spring practice on Wednesday outside the Tom Oxley Athletic Center.
The Owls spent more time in team drills, working on blitz, first and ten and red zone packages. The defense controlled that portion of the practice, as Kevin Cyrille and Dino Cox both got to the quarterback. Practice concluded with a four play scrimmage from the seven yard line. The first team offense was dominant during that session. Running back Alfred Morris bulled through defenders for two touchdowns and Rusty Smith found Jamari Grant on a roll out for another score.
The Owls return to practice on Friday, April 10 at 3:30 p.m. on both days. FAU will hold their second scrimmage of the spring on Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
The ninth annual FAU spring football game will take place on Saturday, April 18 on the Tom Oxley Practice fields, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton Campus at 4 p.m. FAU will hold their final scrimmage of the spring, and there will also be FAU merchandise, ticket information and concessions available at the event. The FAU dance team and Owsley the mascot will also make a special appearance. Admission and parking are free.
