BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's tennis team defeated the University of Louisiana at Lafayette 4-1 in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championships late Saturday in Denton, TX.

The Owls under first year Head Coach Brandon Stokes are scheduled to face Middle Tennessee Sunday afternoon.

FAU opened the semifinal match by taking the doubles point with a win on one and two. Court three unfinished as the Owls didn't need to match for the point. Senior Eddie Majcher was the first to capture a singles point and he did so with a 6-4, 6-0 decision on court five. Marc Abdelnour would improve his overall record to 26-6 with a win on court one to take a 3-0 advantage before ULL picked up a win at no. 3. Freshman Santiago Neito would close out the match and send the Owls into the championship final.
