Upcoming Event: Baseball versus UAB on April 3, 2026 at 6:30 p.m.

BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic baseball team wraps up their fall practice schedule this week when the team will particpate in a best-of-three games World Series scrimmage that will take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the FAU Baseball Stadium.
"It will be an exciting end to the fall season," said FAU head baseball coach John McCormack. "I expect a spirited compeition between our two teams and I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out."
The format of the series is as followed, the team has been split up into two sides, with each side being managed by one of the FAU assistant coaches, Brad Frick and Ben Sanderson. The rosters and team names are listed below:

The first game will begin on Wednesday at 5 pm at the FAU Baseball Stadium. In other preseason news, Mike Albaladejo retained his slim Iron Owl lead after the 7th event held last week. Albaladejo has compiled 392 points over the fall season and is 12 points ahead of the 2009 winner, Lou Morey.
The award indentifies the strongest Owl baseball player - both mentally and physically. A series of events will be held throughout the fall season that will test each student-athletes' physical strength, knowledge of the game and academic performance.
Each event and category will be graded and a running total of each player's rank is kept by the FAU coaching staff.
The `Iron Owl' competition was debuted prior to the 2009 preseason. Its goal is the encouragement of team camaraderie, while at the same time making sure each individual player understands what is like to compete on a daily basis. It is our aim that each player reaches their highest-potential in the weight room, on the field and in the classroom.
This year's winner will be offically crowned during the Owls 2010 home opener.
