BUFFALO, NY- The Florida Atlantic men's soccer team competed in its first Mid-American Conference (MAC) match tonight against the University of Buffalo. The Bulls scored goals in the 20th, 34th and 49th minute to build a 3-0 lead. FAU out-shot Buffalo in the 2nd half but fell 3-0.
Freshman Rocco Pecora was able to take three shots on goal while senior Shire Standnes attempted two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Phillip Lamarre registered two saves.
FAU is 2-5-0 on the season and 0-1-0 in conference play. FAU will travel to Akron, Ohio to take on the No. 10 Zips on Friday, September 19th at 12:30 p.m. After completing five consecutive road games, the Owls will return to FAU Field on Saturday, October 11th at 7 p.m. to face conference opponent Hartwick College.
