The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost to the University of Akron 7-0 on Friday. Playing on their home field, the Zips improved their season record to 4-1-2. The Owls are 2-6-0.
Akron is ranked No. 10 in the nation and is the defending Mid American Conference (MAC) champion. The shut out marked the fifth of the season for the Zips and the 40th career shut out for Akron goalkeeper Evan Bush.
The Owls will be on the road for the next three games, then return to FAU Field at 777 Glades Road in Boca Raton to take on conference opponent Hartwick College. The match will be on Saturday, October 11th at 7 p.m. For more information on tickets call 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
