Coach Schnellenberger
Four must win games, beginning with North Texas this week
The kids brought that up as they broke the huddle last week about how we're in the same position this year that we were last year. Hopefully they play with the same determination and proficiency that they played with last year at this time.
Junior, Fullback, William Rose
The running game seems like it's been revised in the last few games.
I wouldn't say it's been revised, I would say we've just been utilizing it more. The coaches, players, and I have always had faith in our "backs". We have known what they can do and what I can do. I think we're just starting to tap into that more, its showing. We always have been able to do that and we're pretty good at it.
Frantz Joseph
North Texas has shown it's got some offense, does that have your attention?
Oh definitely, North Texas is a team that, in the first two years that I've played them, they've gotten ahead of us by two scores. So they're a real good team, they fight hard and have got a real good offense, so we're looking forward to it (the game).

The Florida Atlantic University football team began workouts full force in preparation for Saturday's homecoming contest against the University of North Texas Mean Green.
Both the offense and defense worked in seven-on-seven and team drills exclusively. The offense mixed up the personnel, as Avery Holley and Conshario Johnson saw snaps with the first unit, as did Alfred Morris at the fullback position. Rusty Smith found Holley on a deep route in first-and-ten drills. Smith also connected deep with Lester Jean.
The defense practiced against the scout team which simulated the Mean Green passing offense. Tavious Polo and Austin Jensen intercepted passes on back to back plays. Also in the secondary, Corey Small made a couple of strong tackles, as he tries to improve on an 11 tackle effort he had two weeks ago at University of Louisiana at Monroe.
The first team offense and defense wrapped up practice facing each other in a two-minute drill. Frantz Joseph nearly came away with an interception at midfield, and the drive and practice ended with Smith hitting Chris Bonner in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown.
The Owls face the North Texas Mean Green on Saturday, November 8 at 4 p.m. at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. It's "Owl Blue Out" day, fans are encouraged to wear blue to the contest. FAU Student Government will announce at halftime its homecoming king and queen. Also at halftime, the FAU athletics department will announce the members of the 2008 FAU Athletics Hall of Fame class.
