Volleyball Picked Fourth in Eastern Division

Entering its second season in the Sun Belt Conference, the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team is picked to finish fourth in the eastern division. The Owls finished their 2006 campaign with an 11-18, 7-10 SBC record to finish fourth in the east.
FAU returns four players from last season's squad, including three upperclassmen. The addition of six freshmen will round out the 2007 squad.
The 2006 Sun Belt Tournament Champion, Middle Tennessee State, is picked to finished first in the tough eastern division with nine first-place votes. The tournament runner-up and regular-season co-champion, Florida International is picked to finish second and earned three first-place votes.
The season will open on August 24 when the Owls travel to the University of New Mexico for a three-match tournament.
