After hosting the University of Maine on Tuesday, the Florida Atlantic University baseball team will head to Western Kentucky University for its first-ever Sun Belt Conference game. The three-game series will start on Friday at 7 p.m. et.
FAU enters the week with a 12-3 record and carries a .363 batting average and 4.48 ERA. The team's batting average ranks them first in the Sun Belt and the ERA is second in the league. Individually, Robbie Widlansky leads the league with 27 RBI, as does William Block's has 52 total bases on the year. Centerfielder Daniel Cook is 10-for-11 in stolen bases to lead the SBC as well..
Besides being speedy on the bases, Cook has amassed a .492 batting average and a .543 on-base percentage.
Western Kentucky enters the week with a 5-4 record after being swept by Purdue last weekend. Troy Frazier has amassed a .480 batting average on a team that carries a .294 batting average.
