On Thursday, Florida Atlantic University's football team held its first full practice in three days. The session was nearly three hours long.
"Because of bad weather the last few days, we decided to get as much time as possible on the field today," said head coach Howard Schnellenberger.
The afternoon began with some one-on-one receiver drills. Jeff Van Camp rifled a pass to Frantz Simeon 20-yards down the left sideline. Chris Esposito made an impressive catch in traffic over the middle of the field for 15 yards.
On the left of the practice field, kickers worked on field goals. Warley Leroy looked in control, drilling several 35-yarders.
In the 11-on-11's utilizing the Clemson plays, the defense stepped up. Taheem Acevedo leveled a receiver who made a catch. Jervonte Jackson played tough, rumbling through the line of scrimmage to make a sack. DiIvory Edgecomb took a hand-off and sprinted 30 yards down the right side of the field.
Tomorrow's practice is set to begin at 4 p.m.
