David Demers Named A-Sun Player of the Week

For the second week in a row, a Florida Atlantic University men's tennis player has captured weekly honors. David Demers was named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week today by the conference office.

Demers led the Owls to two victories and ended the week 3-0 at no. 2 singles and no. 1 doubles. Demers, a native of Duisberg, Germany, defeated conference foe Jacksonville, 6-0, 6-0.

He returned to the court two days later to capture a hard fought contest against FAMU, 6-4, 6-4. He also was a part of the doubles team that won 8-5.

FAU will be back in action when they face intrastate and league rival Stetson, Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
